Hello, and welcome to the Grand Re-Opening of 'Falling.ERA! In celebration of our new open-ness, (and also because we need people to fill the positions), we're opening up auditions for most of the high positions in Clans, as well as allowing you to create free Timekeeper and Higher Cat characters! There are also other prizes to win - see the first reply!

This list will become smaller as more are taken, so hurry! If you want to get a position, you must audition. If your audition is accepted, your character will be given the position. For some positions, I will wait until several auditions have been posted before making a choice.

[b]Tribe Knowledge:[/b] The Tribe isn't much seen in the Warriors books, and so those who play Tribe cats in high positions need to know as much as possible about the customs and traditions of the Tribe. How well do you know the Tribe?
[b]Ceremonial Creativity:[/b] Because we know so little about the Tribe and its ceremonies and customs, the first Healer, Healer's Apprentice, Head Cave-Guard and Head Prey-Hunter will need to be good at thinking up ceremonies and suchlike, as they will all be involved in creating traditions for the Tribe to follow on 'Falling.ERA, such as a ceremony to make to-bes into prey-hunters or cave-guards.
[b]Activity Level and Literacy:[/b] Tribe high positions are required to be active and have reasonable grammar. Please tell us how much we can expect you to be online, and how you'd rate the standard of your spelling and grammar.
[b]Tribe Ideas:[/b] Please tell us about where you'd like the Tribe to go in future, and any ideas you might already have on the Tribe's customs and ceremonies.

[b]Ceremonial Creativity:[/b] Because the Timekeeper concept is still, and will always be, a work in progress, the first Teller and Nobles will need to be good at thinking up ceremonies and suchlike, as they will all be deeply involved in developing the Timekeepers and their culture.
[b]Activity Level and Literacy:[/b] All Timekeepers are required to be active and have reasonable grammar. Please tell us how much we can expect you to be online, and how you'd rate the standard of your spelling and grammar.
[b]Timekeeper Ideas:[/b] Please tell us any ideas you might already have for developing the culture and concept of the Timekeepers.
[b]Sample Post:[/b] Please give us a sample post of your cat time-travelling to the future for the first time, if you want to be Teller, or if you are heading for Noble, a sample post of your cat confronting a political rival among the Nobles over a piece of vital historical information.


Timekeeper and Higher Cat characters

We're also allowing you to create Timekeeper and Higher Cat characters free! There are five Higher Cat positions to give out, as well as (cue dramatic music) the only two canons on the site... Tigerstar and Hawkfrost! There's also ten Timekeeper positions to give out!
So how do you get one of these free cats? Reply and fill out this form...

[i]CHARACTER:[/i] Describe the character you plan to make. Include name, age, gender, and a brief summary of personality, skills, weaknesses and appearance.
[i]SAMPLE POST:[/i] Do a sample RP post with the character.


And what if you want Tigerstar or Hawkfrost? You should PM me, requesting the position, giving your OOC / cbox name, reasons why you deserve the character, and which of the two characters you want. If you do receive one of the characters, there are some rules you'll need to follow from that moment on;

-You must be an active member. If you fall inactive, the characters can be taken from you and given to somebody else.
-You must play the characters true to their personalities.
-You should submit a sample profile, going along the lines of how the characters are presented in the Warriors series. The characters may have changed a little over time, but should remain basically the same.
-Tigerstar and Hawkfrost are, respectively, the leader and deputy of the Higher Cats- and thus the two most powerful cats on the whole site. For this reason, they must be played exceedingly well, consistently, and within the rules, with good grammar and RP etiquette.
-Large changes with the characters (them becoming seriously injured or crippled, them dying, them turning good, them falling out big-time, etc) must be cleared with the admin before going ahead.

[Feather That Drifts On Breeze]

NAME: Accalia
CAT WANTED: Higher Cat
CHARACTER: Feather That Drifts On Breeze, aged 9 moons, female. She died as a to-be in the Tribe. She has a rare mental illness that means she feels no compassion or empathy whatsoever, and coupled with her naturally ambitious and cunning personality this means trouble. When she died she joined the Higher Cats because she was ambitious and lacked the empathy or understanding of right and wrong to oppose them. She's the head punish-er for the Higher Cats, ruling the Place of Punishment like her personal palace. She's cunning and has ambitions to one day rule in Tiger or Hawk's place. She died an apprentice so is small and not the best at fighting or hunting but she's very clever and has an instinct for other people's fears and weaknesses. She also has a stunning memory. She's a black cat with white patches and deep yellow eyes. She gets the Higher Cats to call her Featherbreeze because she wants to be seen as a warrior just like them. When she was in the Tribe, she was Healer's apprentice, because she'd been chosen at birth and at the time they didn't know she had the mental illness. As she grew up they realised and a cave-guard named Sun, concerned for the Tribe, pushed her off a cliff because he knew that whatever punishment he got for doing that would be better than letting Feather someday be Healer.
SAMPLE POST: ((Designed as a reply to a post in which a prisoner attacked her))
Feather was exhausted. The little cat's deep yellow eyes were almost misting over as she lay on her side, panting. Darkness threatened to invade her vision as she panted, heaving in gulp after gulp of air.
Feather hated being weak, hated it. She knew she was younger than most, the age and size of a mere to-be, but she held herself - and her coldly calculating mind - in high esteem. The little black cat did not like this reminder that, after all, she was only a cat.
Anger would have swirled within her, if she had been capable of feeling anything except hatred and fear and cold detachment. With a supreme effort of will, Feather dragged herself to her paws. She could do nothing about her lack of elegance as she regained her feet, hissing softly. The little cat wasn't particularly worried, though- this prisoner would keep the lapse of Feather's supreme decorum to the grave. She'd been sure of that even before he attacked her.
"You will pay for that," she informed him, her voice flat and cold. She unsheathed her claws and dug them into the soft earth, and with chilling detachment, she slowly nodded. "Oh yes. You will pay."

Since I disapprove of staff people accepting their own stuff, somebody else can come and accept this... if it doesn't get through I'll have her be a nice normal Tribe person.

CAT WANTED: Timekeeper
CHARACTER: Lostia Myanna Paul is a she-cat who is four and a half years old.
Lostia is a small cat with long, thick, white, unkempt fur. Her big golden eyes are weak, as is her sense of smell, but her hearing is excellent. Lostia is disorganized and not very practical. All she cares about is the past and the future. She is very intelligent. Deep inside, she has always longed for adventure.

SAMPLE POST: All the cats whom Lostia passed knew exactly where she was going, in fact it was strange for Lostia to be anywhere else unless she was very hungry: the Timepool. And they were right. Lostia half-smiled at some of her fellow Timekeepers, but her thoughts were elsewhere. The day before she had had the strangest vision. It wasn´t strange per se, it was just that...well, it just didn´t fit into what Lostia had always assumed to be historical facts. Maybe she had made a mistake somewhere in her long lines of associations and calculations, maybe she had overlooked something...but everything else had fit in so well. She thought she had understood it all and then...then this came along. It definitely required closer investigation and that was Lostia´s plan for today.
Maybe if her vision hadn´t been interrupted...Lostia ground her teeth. She could have found out so much more... But it wasn´t his fault. The tom had merely been asking whether she was hungry, which was nice of him. Besides, she had to get on well with the others. And maybe she could get back to that vision today.
Lostia´s paws treaded on until she finally reached it: the beautifully shimmering Timepool.

Ceremonial Creativity: I'm a creative person and I like thinking up ceremonies and traditions and religious stuff. (Daniel Jackson is my hero XD )
Activity Level and Literacy: Ermmm it varies with homework and school and stuff. I have good grammar except when I get hyper my sentences run on for ages with no commas like this. Why am I even writing this? I know what my grammar is like.
Timekeeper Ideas: They're all sitting happily inside my head which is exactly where they need t be for now.
Sample Post:
Gladia was cloaked in shadow, her dark grey fur drenched in black. There was no light in the tunnels like these; here, people felt their way with scent and whiskers and heart. Thus, if one could find a scent to roll in that was inconspicuous enough not to be noticed but strong enough to disguise one's own, this was the perfect place to ambush somebody.
This was not a violent ambush. Gladia observed the law as truly as any cat. She didn't like violence much, anyway. No, Gladia just wanted a little bit of information. And she was going to get it by... well, she wasn't sure right now. Maybe blackmail. Possibly by asking nicely. You never knew.
She slid out into the corridor as a smaller, white-pelted, cat passed; it was him she was lying in wait for. "Greetings, fellow Noble," she smiled at him as winningly as she could, knowing he'd sense it despite the darkness. "I'd like to have a chat with you, if at all possible. There's a piece of information you hold..."

And now, in the absence of any other staff, I'm totally just gonna accept my own application WELL DONE ME!
