Gatherings have changed much since the days of the warrior code. They are held every new moon, in darkness, to honour the Higher Cats and promote anonymity for cutting remarks. The Gatherings are run by NeverClan; they are held at the island, in view of the Higher Cats' place of punishment and execution, and the NeverClan leader speaks first, permitting the others to speak only afterwards and for a limited time. The other Clans, having learnt the hard way not to trust NeverClan- the truce is a thing of the past- do not send their elders or young cats, only small delegations of their most battle-hardened warriors. Gatherings are less ways to share news, and more ways for the Clans to evaluate each others' strengths and tensions.

Gatherings are the only time when IC RP is allowed in chat, though only in the Gathering cbox. A cbox will be created in the Island board for Gatherings. The date of the Gathering is posted in advance, and the site's calendar, and lunar calendar, is fixed around the Gathering dates. One moon is the time between two of the Gathering dates - even if, by site time, 3 months have gone past.
Once the site becomes more active, Gatherings will be more often. The first is planned for September; however, it will be impossible to hold a Gathering until all leader spots are filled, and preferably all deputy spots too.
After each Gathering, a summary should be posted by the most senior member in attendance (usually a staff member), so that people who couldn't be there can read all about it.
